# Rial developer docs

> Verify that a photo is real.

Start here

Rial tells you whether a photo is real. There are two ways to use it.

* **Verification at capture**: someone takes the photo now. Send them a link that opens the camera in their browser, or put the capture inside your own app with the mobile SDKs.
* **Async audit**: the photo already exists. Send the file and get the answer in seconds.

Both tell you which checks tripped and what the photo shows; a live capture also certifies where and when it was taken. You can run all of it from the API, the Node SDK, the CLI or the dashboard, or hand it to your AI agent over [MCP](https://docs.rial.io/mcp-server.md).
